Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Painter Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of construction painters and related workers on various projects.

 

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Post-secondary education, such as a certificate or diploma in construction, painting, or a related field, is an asset.

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in the construction painting industry, including supervisory experience managing teams and coordinating multiple projects.

Hands-on experience with a wide range of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods is also required.

Language: English

Technical Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work orders.

Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and materials used in construction painting.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.

JOB DUTIES

  • Supervise painting crews and manage painting projects

  • Train team members or arrange for their training
  • Estimate costs and materials required for painting jobs
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site

Job Type : Full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week. Overtime at the rate 1.5 times after 40 hours per week.

Wage : $25 per hour, to be negotiated depending on experience.

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Painter Helper to join our team.

JOB REQUIREMENT : 

Education : No formal education is required
Experience : On-the-job training will be provided. previous experience in construction, general labour, or painting is an asset.

Language : No language requirement.

Skills & Abilities : 

Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Ability to follow instructions and work as a part of the team under the supervision of painters and site managers.

Willingness to work in different environments (indoor, outdoor, at heights, and in varying weather conditions). 

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness when handling tools, equipment, and materials.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Clean up work areas before and after jobs.
  • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
  • Scrape, sandpaper, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting.
  • Hand over tools as needed to painters.
  • Use sanding and buffing tools to smooth surfaces
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
  • Help painters to mix paints, using right proportion and color.
  • May apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets under Painter supervision.

POSITION 3 : SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PAINTER

Job Title : Senior Construction Painter

Job Type : Full-time, permanent position   

Hours : 30-40 hours per week.

Overtime :   Paid at  1.5 times the regular hourly wage after 40 hours per week.

Wage : $39 per hour.

Construction Painters
to join our team. 

JOB REQUIREMENT : 

Education : Possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent hands-on
experience in the field.


Experience : 
  1. Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience.

2. Experience performing residential, commercial, industrial, or multi-family painting projects.

3. Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, finishing techniques, and painting equipment.

4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of workmanship. 

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are considered assets but are not mandatory:

  • Experience estimating labour, materials, and project timelines.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specifications.
  • Knowledge of specialty coatings and protective finishes.
  • Experience training or providing guidance to junior painters or painter helpers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and safe operation of ladders, scaffolds, and aerial work platforms.

Language : English is required to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and to comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

JOB DUTIES:

The successful candidate will perform duties including but not limited to:

  • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, pressure washing, patching, caulking, and priming.
  • Repair cracks, holes, drywall imperfections, and damaged surfaces prior to painting.
  • Mix, tint, and match paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and specialty coatings to achieve required colours and finishes.
  • Apply paints and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, conventional spray equipment, and airless spray systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements.
  • Measure and estimate materials required for assigned projects.
  • Protect surrounding surfaces by masking and covering furniture, fixtures, flooring, and adjacent work areas.
  • Erect and safely use ladders, scaffolds, swing stages, and other access equipment when required.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and client specifications are met.
  • Maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
  • Coordinate work efficiently with supervisors and other construction trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Assist in providing guidance and technical support to less experienced painters and painter helpers when required.
  • Comply with all company policies and occupational health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move painting materials and equipment.
